Freedom Finger - A Hilarious Shmup with a Unique Soundtrack

Freedom Finger is a side-scrolling shooter game developed by Wide Right Interactive for PlayStation 4. You play as Gamma Ray, a rookie space pilot who must rescue lunar scientists taken hostage by terrorists. The game features classic shmup gameplay blended with platforming-like environmental hazards. You can punch, toss, and smash enemies to smithereens with your giant flying fist and use the unique Grab attack to capture enemies and wield their guns against their comrades.

The game has 36 handcrafted levels spread out over 12 worlds, each with new enemies, power-ups, and challenges. There are also a wide selection of difficulty settings, so you can enjoy the story or crank up the difficulty for a butt-blasting ridiculous challenge. The highly satirical storyline explores hot-button topics such as communism, US foreign policy, sriracha sauce, and crafting in video games. The music is heavily connected to the gameplay, with enemies, bosses, attacks, and events synced to the music.
